Celebrating the publication of the epic new book, ‘The Wheels Of The World: 300 Years Of Irish Uilleann Pipers’ by Colin Harper with John McSherry, the show, introduced by Harper features three globally renowned pipers.
A founder member of The Bothy Band (1974-79), Paddy Keenan is a living legend. Currently US-based, his performances are as exciting today as they were in the '70s. This is a rare opportunity to see him in Belfast.
John McSherry has been a major figure in Irish music for almost 20 years now. A founder member of Lúnasa, Tamalin, Coolfin, At First Light and The Olllam, John is also a highly regarded composer and producer and has recorded and performed with everyone from Clannad and Nanci Griffith to Sinéad O'Connor and The Corrs.
Accomplished on both bodhrán and pipes, Francis McIlduff is a scion of Belfast's McPeake family. He has toured with Lúnasa and At First Light among others and is near to completing a much-anticipated solo album.
Accompaniment comes from ace guitarist Paul Meehan, who has also played with Lúnasa and At First Light and has just recently released a debut solo album.
